» Dr. Lisa C. Barkley joined the staff of Nemours Children's Clinic in Orlando and has been named assistant dean for diversity and inclusion at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She most recently was associate vice president for health and wellness and founding dean of the College of Health and Public Policy at Delaware State University.

» Mark Madore, director of operations for Spartan Electronics Florida, in DeLeon Springs, is the new chairman of the Volusia Manufacturers Association for 2011.
